Nilim Kumar (1961) has 17 collections of poems , 3 collections of novels and one book of essays in original Assamese language .He has 2 collections of poems in English translation , 2 collections of poems in Hindi translation., one collection of poems in Nepali translation .His poems has been translated into French, English, Germany, Spanish, Hindi, Marathi, Gujarati,Bengali, Odia, Kannada , Nepali etc. He has visited France as an Indian poet for French- Indian cultural exchange; visited Bangladesh by Sahitya Akammi . Kumar’s poems are in the syllabus of Guwahati University , Dibrugarh University , Cotton University and Bangaluru University . He has participated in many national and international poetry Festival , meet etc. a recipient of Uday Bharati National Award, Sabda Award, Raza Foundation Award etc, Nilim lives in Guwahati ,Assam . v
