Dr. Tsippy Levin Byron

Dr. Tsippy Levin Byron (b.1955) is from Tel Aviv 1955. She did her one year course in Creative Writing in Mishkenot Sha’ananim, Jerusalem and Ph.D Thesis in Comparative Literature. Received The Prof. Juliette Hassine Prize for Excellence for research work and a Prize from The Centre of Jewish Women’s Studies in Bar Ilan University. She was a guest lecturer in Cama Institute, Mumbai India on Biblical Literature, Creative Writing in Pune University, on Biblical Literature in University of Napoli, Italy. She received first prize in a national poetry competition from Kollech for a poem on feminine, modern interpretation of the Bible. Byron published five books of Hebrew poems. Obtained an award from the “Amos” – (President’s Foundation). All received the Yehoshua Rabinowitch Art Foundation and the Mifal Hapayiss Award. Complimentary critiques published in the literary sections of the main daily newspapers, radio and television.
