Anubhav Tulasi

Anubhav Tulasi (1958) is a practitioner of art in interdisciplinary paradigms (poet, literary translator, literary critic, film critic, short-fiction writer, and editor of books and journals). He has consolidated his position as an Assamese poet and has been dominating the poetry scene for more than three decades with formidable contributions. He is not only one of the front runners, but also one who has set new standards for others to follow. He is unique with his anti-poetic stance, portrays different power centers of society with consummate ease, adopting an electric style almost inimitable, with his unique poetic idiom of his own. He has authored more than thirty books, out of which sixteen are poetry collections in Assamese. His poetry very much reflect the colour and smell of the Assamese soil and the sensibility of the Assamese mind. He loves to be called an Indian poet keeping his Assamese identity intact.
